What is Braggs as referenced to a raw vegan diet?
From the recipes i’ve seen, it seems to be some type of seasoning or something???????
Braggs Liquid Aminos- an ingredient found in a health food store.
There is also something called Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar made by the same company and they also make salad dressing, olive oil, and seasonings.

— For those who think that me drinking green juice if I had cancer instead of getting chemo or radiation is pure quackery, then I say this: “Well, since most people are NOT getting rid of their cancer through conventional treatments & neither are many of those people getting healthy from chemo….well, drinking green juices certainly couldn’t hurt then, now could it…especially if I had already tried the conventional treatments & they had not worked…for not only would I not be damaging my healthy cells in the process of drinking that living green juice, but I would be STRENGTHENING them!”
— I may not have a bunch of fancy letters after my name, but what I do have is the LOVE…and a caring for YOU & for the TRUTH. I don’t claim to hold the golden key to Truth…but I am always driven by it & I’m always seeking it.
— One could choose to decide to simply try drinking green juices for just a month or two, to see what happens! So why not simply *try* the green juice path? To neutralize acidity, clear congestion, lose weight, and/or possibly heal oneself of cancer or diabetes like Dave did?
— Too many complex carbohydrates & animal foods + not enough live-giving fruits & vegetables from Mother Earth has essentially lowered the cellular respiration in your body…your cells literally can’t breathe & so can’t get the energy they need to function optimally.

What kind of things can I prepare for a raw vegan diet?
I am on an 80% vegan diet. About twenty percent of my diet is dairy. Organic cheese, an organic egg once a month, cake at a party, but for health reasons, I’d like to do a diet that is half raw vegan, half cooked vegan. Anyone have any quick recipes for me? Diet staples? What equipment, if any do I need to invest in? I heard that a lot of raw vegans invest in juicers, food processors, etc. What do I need?
Anything that can be eaten raw, I eat raw. Anything that needs to be cooked, I cook - like potatoes, turnip, butternut squash, garlic and so on. I could probably eat garlic raw, but it is less offensive cooked. I prefer eggs cooked.
The only piece of “special” equipment I have is a blender. I make fruit smoothies containing a glass of water and as many different fruits and berries as I have in the house (typically 7 or
and add a little raw celery, spinach, broccoli, zucchini/courgette, carrot to the mix, as well as some different nuts and seeds and a sprinkle of cinnamon. If I don’t add the water, the mix gets too thick and is a strain on the machine. There is sufficient in this mix for several breakfasts, and I store what I don’t use straight away in the fridge. It is lovely for breakfast, but I often feel quite hungry before midday, and might have a sandwich then, or a yogurt. If I have eggs for breakfast, I don’t feel hungry until lunchtime.
Some people prefer to juice, but that leaves stuff over which they discard. I don’t, because it is full of nutrition.
Raw Coconut Butter Ingredient (Recipe Wanted)?
I bought a container of Raw, Organic Coconut Butter but don’t have a clue what to do with it.
The butter doesn’t melt when its heated - so I couldn’t use it to flavor my ‘Freedom Toast’.
The thick texture didn’t change when I heated it in the microwave (which I did to see if it would melt).
I love the flavor of coconut and am looking for some raw, organic, vegan recipes if possible so my fiance (a cancer fighter) can have some too.

Cacao Drink – This drink is a great way to start the day. An excellent alternative to coffee, cacao is brimming with antioxidants and energy. Try your own variation by adding vanilla, cinnamon or other superfoods – ice in summer and warm chocolate in winter. (Serves 1 to 4 people.)
3 tbsp. Cacao Nibs
1 tbsp. Cacao Powder
3 tbsp. Hempseed
2 tbsp. Artisana Coconut Butter
1 tbsp. Maca Powder
3 to 4 cups water (unsweetened fresh coconut water is the best, if available)
2 – 3 tbsp. Agave Nectar, or Manuka Honey, or Honey Dew Honey (my personal favorite)
Blend all the ingredients well. Sprinkle a few nibs to float on the top of each glass. Enjoy.

Raw Organic WoW Chocolate
1 cup melted Coconut Oil
¼ cup Cacao Butter
1 cup Cacao Powder
¼ cup Tahini
¼ cup Cashew Butter
¼ cup (or to taste ) Agave Nectar, Honey Dew or Manuka Honey
Pinch of Himalayan salt
Melt the coconut oil in a glass bowl set in hot water or at room temperature over 80 F. Grate in the cacao butter and stir until melted. Stir in the cacao powder. You can soften the nut butters in the same hot water and then fork blend them into the mix. Mix all the ingredients well.
Pour spoonfuls of this liquid chocolate on slices of fresh organic pineapple (or dip whole strawberries into it) and harden in the refrigerator. Or as an alternative, pour onto a teflex sheet in a glass pan to about ¼ to ½ inch thick. Add thin slices of a favorite fruit like straw berries or whole blueberries plus crumbled macadamia nuts or walnuts. Refrigerate for an hour, then peel off teflex and bite into the Best Chocolate you have ever tasted!

Cacao Coconut Candy
Empty the contents of an 8 oz jar of coconut butter into a mixing bowl. Mix in ¼ cup of cacao nibs and ¼ cup of Agave Nectar. Mix well. Spread out in a glass pan, score to the desired size pieces and refrigerate. Remove when hard and enjoy. You can also add mint, goji berries or other favorites.

Coconut Goji Fudge
½ cup Wild Crafted Goji Berries, chopped in a food processor
2 cups Artisana Coconut Butter
¼ cup (or to taste) Agave Nectar, Honey Dew or Manuka Honey
Mix thoroughly, then chill until the fudge sets.
I want a raw vegan choc chip cookie recipe that I can make with the things I have at home…? HELP PLEASE!?
I have vegan chocolate. I don’t have any nuts but i have sunflower seeds and I have oats and muesli. I have cocoa as well if I need that… I have soymilk, but no egg substitute, but I don’t think you need milk or eggs in raw cookies so that shouldn’t matter. I don’t have dates, but I have sultanas. I don’t eat honey. I have coconut milk AND coconut cream but no coconut or coconut oil. I have no dates:(, but I have sultanas. I have linseed/flaxseed meal..lol

2 tablespoon raw honey
5 teaspoon coconut oil (I used Artisana brand because it is thicker, made with coconut and its oil!! the best)
a couple drops organic vanilla extract
I hope you have the tahini. If you don’t maybe you know something else you can sub? Your vegan chocolate shoudl work for the cacoa nibs and you can use agave to sub for the honey.

RAW Cheesy Kale Chips (Vegan)
Raw Cheesy Kale Chips get the featured role as we watch step by step instructions on how to prepare this popular Raw Food Vegan Snack. With the aid of a 9 tray Dehydrator, we learn techniques and tips while preparing this “Cheesy” (without cheese) Crunchy, Nutritional Yeast, very healthy snack.
I usually double and even triple it, because once it’s made… it doesn’t last very long, since everyone eats it up.
The Cheesy Kale Chips Recipe:
• 1 bunch of Organic Curly Kale (washed, large stems removed, torn into bite size pieces)
Coating:
• 1 cup Raw Organic Cashews, (soaked 2 hours)
• 1 Organic Bell Pepper (Red, Yellow or Orange — (seeded and chopped)
• 1 Lemon (juiced)
• 3 Tablespoons Organic Nutritional Yeast

• 1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt (use more or less to taste)
• 1 large Organic Jalapeño ((seeded)
• 1 Bunch of Organic Cilantro (chopped)
Put coating ingredients in Vitamix or food processor, add cilantro at end. Blend until smooth. Using your hands, massage coating onto kale pieces getting it inside of curls. Put on teflex sheets (dont worry about flattening them, theyre better bunched up — I removed the drawer above to make room) and dehydrate at 105 overnight or until coating is dry. Slide onto mesh screens and dehydrate until very crispy.
NOTE: mine just took about another 4 hours after overnight and flipping. YUM!

But if you plant a roasted almond, nothing happens.

If sometimes you pick up ‘negative’ thoughts or vibrations don’t get down about it, just change the channel!
Go someplace else, go hang out with other people, listen to different music, etc…and notice what happens to the thoughts in your mind!
Choose to focus on positive things!

Do you have a successful no-flour non-raw vegan flax seed cracker recipe?
The following recipe for vegan flax seed crackers received mixed reviews

But the pic looks so darn good.
Can anyone explain how to make this recipe successful 100% of the time (using a measured amount of water to soak the flax in and degrees in F not C for the cooking temp)? I don’t want to waste any flax.
Or can you suggest another, non-raw vegan flax seed cracker *without* flour?

Flax Seed Crackers

You will need two half-sheet pans, or the equivalent, and two full sheets of baking parchment. Fold each of the parchment sheets in half, and lay one in each of the half sheet pans.
1 ¼ cup flax seeds
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper or roasted chile powder
1 teaspoon sweet paprika
1 clove garlic
½ teaspoon garam masala (recipe below)
Soak the seeds in two cups of water eight hours or overnight.
Combine all the ingredients in a processor and grind for several minutes. Scrape half of the batter onto each of the prepared half-sheet pans, and use an offset spatula to spread the mixture 1/8 inch thick over the baking parchment. There will be just enough to cover two half-sheet pans.
Place in a very low oven (about 200 F) for twenty minutes. Then turn off the ovens and leave the sheets in the warm oven overnight.
In the morning, unfold the parchment, refold it with the flax seed sheet in the middle, and peel off the part stuck to the giant cracker, which will now have a texture sort of like fruit-leather.
Cut it into cracker shapes (I used a pair of scissors) and lay the crackers on the remaining half of parchment.
Bake at 200 for another twenty minutes, turn off the oven and leave the pans inside until dinnertime, or until you need to use the oven again.
The crackers will become very thin and crisp.
These crackers go very well with hemp seed hummus, classic hummus, chicostle salsa, or this hemp seed tabouli.

Garam Masala Recipe

This is the most aromatic and fragrant of all Indian spice blends. Used throughout North India in all types of dishes — from appetizers and soups to yogurt salad and main courses — this blend is indispensable to Moghul and North Indian cooking. It is widely available, but my homemade version is more fragrant and, of course, fresher.
2 tablespoons cumin seeds
2 tablespoons coriander seeds
2 tablespoons cardamom seeds
2 tablespoons black peppercorns
1 (3-inch) stick cinnamon, broken up
1 teaspoon whole cloves
1 teaspoon grated nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon saffron (optional)
Put the cumin, coriander, cardamom, peppercorns, cinnamon, and cloves in a dry heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Toast the spices, stirring occasionally, until they turn several shades darker and give off a sweet smoky aroma, about 10 minutes. Do not raise the heat to quicken the process, or the spices will brown prematurely, leaving the insides undercooked. Cool completely.
Working in batches if necessary, transfer the mixture to a spice mill or coffee grinder and grind to a powder. Stir in the nutmeg and saffron. Use immediately or store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
Garam Masala keeps for 3 months.
Yield: Makes about 1/2 cup
