— I love fruits and vegetables…so I feel more like a fruit and vegetable teacher, than a raw food teacher! :D

— The Truth is in between the words. On your spiritual journey, you will soon wake up to realize that you do not know ANYTHING. Or, you may already be aware of this right now. :D

— Fruits, vegetables and herbs are for so many different types of people: they are for athletes, they are for people who want to lose weight, they are for people who like to meditate, they are for those who need to heal up chronic and degenerative diseases… basically, they are for everyone!

— The *life force* inside of you is what shines, and is what is most attractive in others. Fruits and vegetables simply allow you to exude this life force energy more easily and freely than dead, cooked and/or processed foods. You literally are what you eat!

— Do the work now! Plant the seeds, read the spiritual books, apply the teachings of the nutrition, practice meditation, kindness, forgiveness & patience… and most importantly, practice stopping the ego from reacting and wasting your precious energy! If you are unable to stop the ego, at the very least just observe it doing what it does with awareness…but do not judge! Just be aware. Awareness is always the first step… :D

? Mixed Veggie Carrot Cabbage Corn Salad Recipe with
Homemade Healthy Tomato Citrus Salad Dressing ?

* I n g r e d i e n t s *
For the SALAD:
— 1 head of Cabbage, cut into 4-8 large chunks that can fit through your food processor
— Leftover Salad from Last Night (whatever kind that might be!)
— 4-6 Carrots (unpeeled if organic, or peeled if inorganic)
— 2-4 cobs of Corn

For the DRESSING:
— 5 cloves of Garlic
— 2-4 Tomatoes
— 3 Limes

* P r e p a r a t i o n *
— 1) Using your food processor’s chopper blade attachment, run the cabbage through your food processor, followed by last night’s leftover salad, and then transfer everything to a serving bowl or platter.

— 2) Switching to the shredder blade of your food processor, run the carrots through, then toss over the rest of your salad.

— 3) Slice the corn off of the cobs, and then layer over the carrots.

— 4) To make the dressing, roughly chop the tomatoes, and along with the 5 cloves of garlic toss them into your Vita-Mix blender, or other high-powered blender of your choice. http://bit.ly/GZsuq or http://bit.ly/3OTXD9

— 5) Use a manual citrus juicer or a citrus hand juicer to squeeze the juice of the limes into the Vita Mix as well.

— 6) Blend until desired consistency is reached.

— 7) Drizzle dressing over salad or offer it on the side…your lunch or dinner is now served; enjoy!

* I n s p i r a t i o n *
— I feel overtaken by love for all of you! This is a dream come true to be able to share what’s in my heart with you. I almost feel engulfed in the fire of love. I feel so happy!

— There is a difference between stimulated & nervous energy, versus a more chill, but powerful dynamic energy. Dynamic energy is a living, cellular energy that people can pick up on when you walk into a room. It is a more subtle form of energy, like a peaceful illumination of your inner being. CAUTION: As we raise up the inner energy, we may find ourselves having to deal with obstructive energies such as fear, anger and greed (the “welfare” emotions).

— I do like carrots, but on the whole I don’t like to eat too many other root vegetables. I find that if I consume too much of them, that it brings me ‘down’ too far in the earth, for they are very elemental, grounding, rooting…all good qualities for sure, but only in moderation.

— You’ve probably noticed by now that unlike many other raw food chefs or teachers, I do not like to dehydrate anything. Krista and I gave our dehydrator away long ago! However, it was helpful for me when I first went raw as I was able to make some tasty things…but I also simply did not know any better at that time. ;)

— For on the whole, I have observed that consuming dehydrated foods literally dehydrates you and sucks water out of you, as your body looks to replace the water that was taken out of the foods so that it can actually digest them! Also, dehydration leads to inflammation…so if you want to instead be beautiful with nice, vibrant and soft skin, then consume a hydrating diet of high-water fruits and vegetables! By the way, you may find yourself needing to drink less water overall as you’ll be getting so much more water from the fruits and vegetables…this is entirely normal, and puts a whole new spin on the “How much water should I be drinking every day for health?” conundrum…

— On this path of true health that we are all on together, we need to support each other! We need to spread this message of love, truth and unity to everyone, starting with our close friends and family members.

High Fibre Diets

July 6, 2009 - 5:45 pm 6 Comments

There are many reasons why high fibre diets are good for you, but the main one is that in terms of overall health and fitness, high fibre diets will promote only the best in you. Other reasons can be anything ranging from constipation, to hemorrhoids, to something called diverticular disease. These are all good and sound reasons for switching to high fibre diets. But one of the best as far as I am concerned is that high fibre diets can assist you in losing weight.

It can’t get any better than that really. A diet that’s not only good for you, but that actually promotes steady and regular weight loss, and includes most of the foods that I like to eat. I confess that I like my burger and fries as much as the next person, but I also adore fruits and grains, so I don’t have a problem with changing my diet to one of the high fibre diets.

One of the advantages that you gain with these high fibre diets is that they really help to fill you up during meal times so that along with the nutritional value of the high fibre diet you also have the benefit of eating less. You can probably see now why I’m such an advocate of these high fibre diets.

There are many things that you can include in your high fibre diets, you don’t need to limit yourself to a stick of celery for lunch with a cup of tepid water. Many of the foods are really a joy to eat and if you prepare them properly they will taste just as good as their greasy counterparts. Okay well not as good, but really good in a different way.

And when you get used to eating all these foods that are so healthy you’ll be glad to look back on the day that you started investigating high fibre diets. With a host of foods to choose from you won’t be short of great meals and snacks. But what foods can you include in your high fibre diets? To begin with you can instantly add wholegrain cereals to your food list, along with wholegrain breads, baked beans, cooked beans, lentils and legumes of any sort.

Then you’ll get fresh fruits and vegetables into the mix. The fruits are best eaten with the skin as it contains a good source of fibre. Vegetables can be eaten either cooked or raw, and depends only on your taste buds. Root vegetables are also especially good for the high fibre diets.

When you’re trying out any of these high fibre diets however, always remember to drink a lot of water or even fruit or vegetable juices. The liquid is very important for the digestion aid of your high fibre diets and shouldn’t be overlooked. So now you know the benefits of high fibre diets and why I favor these types of diets over anything else. Try it for yourself and see the difference in yourself.

Detox Diets - the 24 Hour Detox Revitalization Diet

July 3, 2009 - 1:47 pm No Comments

Much has been written and said about diets and detox, but here we are going to present a simple 24 detox diet to cleanse your system, make you feel better and revitalise you with energy, its simple and very effective.

This 24 hour detox diet can be used after a period of over-indulgence, or when you awake feeling poorly and will revitalize you quickly.

This detox diet should not to be used everyday.

24 Hour Detox Diet Basics

The basis for this detox diet is 4 glasses of ‘fresh’ pomegranate juice, slow-cooked brown rice, a high-power vegetable salad, and 200 grams of raw almonds.

The combination will give you all the vitamins and minerals you need for your day, clear your body of toxins and oxidants, and give you plenty of energy to face the world. You will also lose a minimum of 600 grams to 1 kilo depending on your height and body weight.

Detoxing to cleanse your body

The pomegranate is a very powerful (the most powerful) anti-oxidant we know of in any food.

It has been shown to reverse and even prevent some cancers and heart disease.

The almonds will supply all the calories, oils, and proteins you need, without feeling hungry.

The salads are for bulk and all the vitamins and minerals that are gained from the eating of salads and vegetables.

The brown rice is also a wonderful antioxidant, and source of many vitamins and minerals that can be readily absorbed by the body.

The rules of this detox diet are simple:

1. No coffee or tea, or any soft drink. The ONLY liquids that are allowed are the 4 glasses of pomegranate juice and much water as you can drink.

2. If you are a smoker, try to stop for the 24 hours, or if you cannot, limit the cigarettes to as few as possible, and try not to inhale, but smoke the cigarette as you would a cigar.

3. Take a hot shower or bath both in the morning and in the evening, scrubbing the skin with a brush, loofa, or special skin cloth that will stimulate good blood circulation. Also going to a sauna is a wonderful idea. Spend as much time there as possible, taking your food with you.

4. Do not cheat; follow the diet plan. Eat ONLY when you are hungry, not by the clock.

5. Exercise by any means (walking may be the best) for at least 45 minutes during the day. This is very important.

Detox diet Morning Meal

One glass of pomegranate juice, with a handful of the raw almonds. Do not overfill your stomach; when you are about 50% satisfied, stop.

Detox diet Mid-morning Snack

One bowl of the brown rice, with some natural soya sauce, and some tofu if you feel you need protein. One glass of water.

Detox diet Lunch

One glass of pomegranate juice and a mixed green salad, as much as you wish. A dressing of virgin olive oil, wine vinegar, and salt may be used.

Detox diet Mid-Day Snack

One glass of pomegranate juice, with a handful of the raw almonds. Do not overfill your stomach; when you are about 50% satisfied, stop.

Detox diet Diner

The last glass of pomegranate juice and a large bowl of brown rice.

No more food should be consumed with this detox diet.

You will have taken over 1200 calories, and a host of wholesome and healthful nutrients with this detox diet if followed exactly.

Moreover, you body will have had 24 hours to rid itself of the toxins absorbed by over-indulgence, or simply daily city life (stress, pollution and processed food products).

During the day When using this detox diet feel fantastic and alert.

We advise to not follow this detox diet more than one day weekly, as it is not effective as a general everyday diet. It is however highly effective as a quick pick me up and cleansing diet.
